CV

I am an interdisciplinary artist and I explore the dynamics between cultural mythology, identity and the natural world. My work dances on the tension that links storytelling and reality; the friction between fantastical playfulness and uncertainty. Using soundscapes, photography, video, sculpture, painting, and drawing, I create immersive spaces that invite the participant to enter an altered emotional landscape.

My work has been shown in numerous venues including: Mesa Museum of Contemporary Art (AZ), Hemphill Fine Arts Carroll Square Gallery (DC), Area 405 (MD), Freight Gallery (DC), Spring Gallery (NY), Grizzly, Grizzly (PA), the SNF Parkway Theatre (MD) and featured during DC FotoWeek and the Dumbo Arts Festival in NYC. It has been published in the Guardian, the Virginia Quarterly Reviewof NOTE Magazine, the Iowa ReviewHyperallergic, and the Washington Post.

I am a recipient of DC Commission for the Art & Humanities Artist Fellowship Grants, a CAH-NEA CARES Act Grant and an Individual Project grant.

When I’m not making work, I’m a photo editor and also teach students how to channel emotions using meditation and visual art.
